THE BIODEGRADABLE TENT is an ongoing project by Vanessa Harden in partnership with Do the Green Thing. Designed for the environmentally conscious festival goer, The Biodegradable Tent has an occupancy of three days and then begins to biodegrade. Embedded with local seeds, the tent disintegrates into the earth to sow seeds and rejuvenate green spaces.

IDM.Grow is an integrated program that explores alternative forms of permaculture while carving out a space for designers to develop technologies, products, methods or systems to facilitate urban gardening. Aimed at designing creative solutions for various gardening challenges, this program works directly with community partners to foster an environment where students actively engage with end users to create implementable designs.

Scholes Street Children’s Garden has been an active site for vegetable growing and community gatherings since 1986. Subversive Gardener has partnered with the Scholes Street Children’s Garden to offer workshops about urban farming and environmentalism to the community.
